Here are some key quotes from PM Modi’s speech at Bharat Mandapam:
- BJP workers keep doing something or the other to serve the country for 24 hours every day of the year but now for the next 100 days is for working with new enthusiasm and new faith. Today is 18th February and the youth who have reached the milestone of 18 years in this period are going to elect the 18th Lok Sabha of the country.
- We will make India world’s 3rd largest economy in third term.
- In the next 100 days, we all have to reach out to every new voter, every beneficiary, every community. We’ve to win everyone’s trust.
- Dreams will be big and resolutions will also be big.
- Opposition leaders are also chanting ‘Abki baar 400 paar’.
- We rid country of mega scams, terror attacks; made efforts to improve living standards of poor, middle class.
- In the next 100 days, we all have to reach out to every new voter, every beneficiary, every community. We’ve to win everyone’s trust.
- Hum Rajneeti ke liye nahi Rashtra Niti ke liye nikle hai.
- I have received invites from foreign countries to visit them in July, August, September; they also know ‘aayega to Modi hi.’
- I am the first PM who raised from Red Fort the issue of toilets, expressed anguish at use of derogatory words for women.
- People keep telling me you have achieved so much, you have fulfilled all major promises, then why are you still working so much? The entire country believes that having a spotless 10year term and taking 25 crore people out of the poverty line is not a simple task.
- I am not asking for the third term to enjoy power, If I had thought about my house, I would not have built houses for crores of poor people. I am living for the future of poor children. The dreams of crores of women, poor and youth are Modi’s resolve.
- Several historic and courageous decisions were taken in the last 10 years. We found the solution of decadesold problems. Wait of five centuries was ended by the construction of the Ayodhya Ram Temple; after seven decades, the Kartarpur Corridor was inaugurated; after seven decades, Article 370 was abrogated; after six decades, the Rajpat was renamed Kartavya Path; after four decades, OROP’s demand was fulfiled; after three decades, the country got its new education policy and women’s reservation bill was passed; and we also brought a law against triple talaq.
- We ensured the death penalty for crimes like rape. To deal with it quickly, special arrangements were also made. I am the first Prime Minister who raised the issue of toilets from Red Fort…I am proud that in the last 10 years, BJP government has taken many steps to make the lives of women in the country easier.
